With 550 associates, and joining the people of Favaios, it opened in 1952 to create its Moscatel. Adega Cooperativa de Favaios intends to become the largest Cooperative in the Douro region, offering unique experiences to the customer. It also intends to expand its wine offer beyond Moscatel and expand into the international market.
Guided tours of the Wine Cellar aim to show how Moscatel de Favaios is created and developed until its final product. You can also participate in a personalized tour where you can participate in the harvest and taste cheeses and wines.
Slightly out of the way, Adega de Favaios offers the possibility to discover the history of the village and its wines. And it is a good starting point to discover other wineries in Portugal.
Born in the Douro, namely in the village of Galafura where the most beautiful viewpoint in the Douro is located, Monte de São Leonardo de Galafura. I am lucky to have been born in one of the most beautiful regions in the world and I want to share the best of what comes from it.
