This path began in 2003 when he bought Quinta do Vidiedo. Adding the planting of old vines and new vines, this is how the production of wines with the Pôpa signature began.
A dream pursued by Zeca, with the help of his children – Stéphane and Vanessa Ferreira, combined the taste of Douro nectars with the stunning landscape that the Douro terraces offer.
The first harvest took place in 2007 with the help of oenologist Luís Pato, who believed in the potential of Pôpa wines.
There are several programs that include experiences through the Douro harvest, such as the Harvest in Douro program, which takes you to experience one of the oldest traditions in the Douro.
When visiting the farm, you can observe the production of the famous nectars, as well as having a wine tasting to test the quality for yourself. At the farm there is also a program where visitors can participate in the treading of the grapes.
You can enjoy lunch at the estate or even brunch, delicious meals always accompanied by Pôpa wines.
Between April and October, you can enjoy the Pôpa Pic-Nic, which consists of a basket prepared by the farm, full of traditional flavors and the famous nectar, where you will have the opportunity to explore the estate and choose the best spot to have your picnic. .
At Quinta do Pôpa there are also customizable programs for groups, where everything from marriage proposals to bachelor parties can be done.
