Douro Senses is a 2-day getaway designed to experience the Douro through its river, wine culture and scenery. It starts in Porto with a scenic cruise to Régua, including breakfast and lunch served on board. Along the way, you pass the Crestuma-Lever and Carrapatelo dams and enjoy uninterrupted views of the valley’s terraced vineyards.

Perfect for travellers who want comfort, authenticity and time to slow down in the Alto Douro Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

OPTION A: 08:00 – Boarding of passengers at V. N. de Gaia Pier

OPTION B: 08:30 – Boarding of passengers at Estiva Pier - Porto

Information

  • * Option A: If Quinta Seara D'Ordens is unavailable for visits and tastings, it will be replaced by Adega Martha's.
  • * Option B: If Quinta dos Avidagos is unavailable for visits and tastings, it will be replaced by Casa de Santa Eufêmia.
  • Winery visits and wine tastings are only available in Portuguese and English
  • This route will be traveled by train, subject to availability from CP
  • ** The train journey will be on a regular CP train and is not an exclusive service. Therefore, the journey is the sole responsibility of CP, and we cannot guarantee all seats
  • Return train tickets to Porto will be provided by our guide.
  • Our guide will inform the group of the departure point at Régua Station (the guide will not accompany the group on the train journey to São Bento Station, but will provide all passengers with the necessary information/guidance).
  • Includes a glass of Port wine on board at weekends
  • Due to the closure of the Douro dams for maintenance and weather conditions, this cruise takes place between April and Octobe
